During the week, students will engage in the artistic processes of creating, performing, responding, and connecting using West African djembe drums and assorted percussion instruments such as the shekere, cabasa, and shakers.
Students will 1) use the elements of music to communicate new musical ideas and works (compose, arrange and improvise); 2) Perform music with fluency and expression (play instruments alone and with each other); 3) Respond to music as a performer and listener (analyze and evaluate music); and 4) Relate music ideas to personal meaning.
Meets daily from 3:00 - 4:00pm
