Make a Difference

Cypress Adventures relies on local donors and local, state, and federal grants to operate and serve the youth in our community. Significant opportunities exist to create revenue-generating services by replicating our programs in other rural communities, once we have the capacity to seize them. To sustain our long-term success, we will count on the support of individual donors like you.

What the community provides directly serves the well-being of our students, and our students directly give back to the local community. We will not be successful without the continuing support of our growing community.

In a small, rural town in South Carolina, something magical is happening. One drop is all it took. One drop of funding back in 2015 created a ripple that strengthened the relationships and leadership skills of close to 1000 youth, their peers, their families, their schools, their communities. This is Positive Youth Development. This is hope.

It starts here, with middle and high school aged youth, getting their unique developmental needs met during out-of-school time.

We asked our students, “What have you gained from coming to Cypress?” This is how they responded.

We asked our students, “What is your favorite thing about coming to Cypress?” This is how they responded.

It starts with the students we serve and ripples into their families and home life. We asked parents of our students, “How has your child’s participation in Cypress impacted your family?” This is how they responded.

It starts with the students we serve and ripples into their families and home life and into their classrooms and school culture. “What qualities do you see in Cypress students that differentiate them from others?” This is how they responded.

We asked more teachers, “What qualities do you see in Cypress students that differentiate them from others?” This is how they responded.
